A beautiful farm stay where you can relax in the tranquility of the countryside and get lots of animal therapy watching and cuddling incredibly friendly animals? Glen Roe Lodge (sleeps 6) is a three bedroom (x3 Doubles) and two bathroom accommodation, fully equipped and furnished for your every need. Relaxing in the private Hydropool hot tub is an absolute must while you are entertained by the animals around the lodge or just lie back and try to count all the stars in the night sky. Situated just over an hour South of Glasgow and 20 minutes from the Galloway Forest Park means the dark skies here are absolutely stunning. There is plenty to do both on and off the farm with several animal experiences available on site (bottle feeding lambs/goats in the Spring season and Farm Tours where you can go around the farm with the owner, Cat , and get special introductions to the animals as well as some treats that you can feed them). The farmland is home to an abundance of wildlife including grey herons, cormorants, roe deer, otters and several birds of prey. Outside of the farm the area is teeming with things to do such as Dumfries House, Drumlanrig and Culzean Castles, walks a plenty such as all around nearby Loch Doon, or Ayr and Irvine beaches are around 35 mins drive away. The New Cumnock open air heated swimming pool is always popular with guests as is Blackstone Clydesdales which is only 15 minutes away. The farm is situated in a beautiful and peaceful private 75 acre estate that you are free to walk around and explore during your stay so long as rules and footpaths are kept to. The land is bordered by the river Nith which has fishing available (with owner’s permission). The lodge has a firepit/bbq available.
